Seven years of operating system upgrades. That is the promise reportedly attached to the Motorola Signature 27, which gets a global unveiling on November 5, 2026, and which the company has already listed on its Indian website. The exact India date and price are still unannounced, though a November launch there is expected.
The phone is expected to run Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, cooled by a diamond-infused thermal gel and a 3D vapour chamber. The body is glass-ceramic with an aerospace-grade aluminium frame. The cameras are a 50MP Sony LYTIA main sensor and a 200MP telephoto with up to 100x digital zoom. Android 17, Bang & Olufsen-tuned audio and two Pantone colours, Capulet Green and Coal Smoke, round out the list. Most manufacturers promise two to three years of updates, so seven is a long way past the norm.
The price problem
Silicon at this level costs money. Flagships are drifting into four-digit dollar prices, with the Galaxy S27 Ultra rumoured to start at $1,500 and Motorola’s US flagship return said to be facing an even higher tag. Rising memory costs are a big part of the pressure. For Indian buyers, the rupee price will decide where the Signature 27 sits.

Karbonn comes back, cheaply
The week’s other confirmed date is November 2, when Karbonn returns with the Rebel and Rebel Pro 5G on Amazon. The Rebel is expected to have a 6.75-inch HD+ screen and a 7,000mAh battery with 18W wired charging. The Pro is listed with a 6.7-inch HD+ LCD, a 120Hz refresh rate and a 6,000mAh battery at 20W. Both should run Android 16 with few pre-installed apps, and the Pro is said to get two years of OS updates and security patches. Pricing is unconfirmed, but one report expects the Rebel 5G to come in below ₹20,000, using a Unisoc T8300 chip.
The rest of November
Vivo, Xiaomi, OnePlus, Realme, POCO and Tecno are all expected to launch phones this month, though few details are official. Leaks point to some striking numbers:
The Vivo X500 Pro Max may carry a 200MP telephoto, an 8,000mAh battery and an Indian price that could reach ₹2 lakh. The standard X500 is tipped for a Dimensity 9600 and a 7,500mAh battery. Xiaomi announced the 18 Pro’s India launch at India Mobile Congress 2026, with a 2.66-inch secondary OLED display on the back. The Realme 17 Pro series is rumoured to offer batteries up to 10,000mAh, and the OnePlus 16R may have 120W SuperVOOC charging.
Motorola has two more in the queue. The Moto G47 Power 5G, already launched in Europe, has a Dimensity 6300, a 7,000mAh battery with 33W charging and a 108MP dual camera. The Edge 70 Neo 5G is tipped to bring a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 and 45W charging. Motorola has confirmed neither phone’s Indian date or price.
Realme, Vivo and Motorola have not confirmed most of these specifications. The firm dates are November 2 for Karbonn and November 5 for the Signature 27.
