SHANGHAI, September 30, 2026 RedMagic’s RedMagic 12 Pro+ is set to storm the gaming smartphone market with a launch date confirmed for October 15, 2026, in China. The much-anticipated device will be one of the first to ship with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset, boasting a 13% faster CPU, a 44% faster GPU, and a 35% improvement in AI processing compared to its predecessor.
According to the filing, the RedMagic 12 Pro+ will feature a redesigned chassis that is thinner, lighter, and narrower than the RedMagic 11 Pro+. The device will also sport more rounded corners, aimed at improving one-handed grip, and reduced display bezels of 0.96mm, marking a step towards an all-screen front.
The 12 Pro+ retains gaming-specific hardware from the previous generation, including touch triggers on the frame, a dedicated gaming-mode switch, and an upgraded active cooling system with an internal fan. Liquid cooling remains a key feature, cited as a reason for the RedMagic 11S Pro’s top ranking on AnTuTu charts earlier in 2026. RedMagic has not yet disclosed pricing or global release details for the 12 Pro+, but noted that the RedMagic 11 Pro launched at £629 / $749 in November 2025.
Given the inclusion of the Extreme-tier Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chip, costs are expected to rise. Western market pricing is estimated at £750–850+ / $850–950+ upon arrival.
The company typically follows a China launch with a global rollout four to six weeks later via its direct-to-consumer warehouse, making a November or December 2026 release outside China plausible. As yet, full specifications regarding RAM, storage, battery capacity, and charging speeds have not been disclosed. The RedMagic 12 Pro+ will be one of the first devices to ship with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset, which Qualcomm states delivers significant performance enhancements over its predecessor.
The chipset’s superior capabilities are expected to position the RedMagic 12 Pro+ as a leading contender in the gaming smartphone market. With the RedMagic 12 Pro+, RedMagic continues to push the boundaries of what is possible in gaming smartphones. The device’s sleek redesign, increased performance, and continued commitment to gaming-specific hardware make it an exciting prospect for gamers worldwide.
As the launch date approaches, attention will turn to pricing and global availability. With the device’s anticipated premium pricing, it will be interesting to see if the RedMagic 12 Pro+ can attract a wider audience beyond its core gaming demographic.
In the meantime, the gaming smartphone market continues to evolve, with competitors such as Asus, Razer, and Xiaomi releasing their own offerings. The RedMagic 12 Pro+ will need to stand out in a crowded market to claim its place as the go-to gaming smartphone for enthusiasts and casual gamers alike. Stay tuned for further developments as we approach the launch of the RedMagic 12 Pro+.
